The Seashell Safe Harbor

Pier Pressure

“Boats, Boats….do not fear, Your Seashell Safe Harbor friends are here!” The boat parade is a day to shine, but some boats were not excited about participating. “Who wants to see a dirty and smelly boat?” asks Mighty the shrimp boat. Joy the catamaran was concerned about her tattered sails. Sassy, the sleek and fancy speed boat, was more than ready for the boat parade. Sassy did not seem to worry about her friends’ concerns. She wanted to win the “Best of Show”. Starfish Sue, Pelican Hugh, and Dolphin Rue wanted to help their friends so they got Happy and Captain Drew to rally the sailors to get all the boats ready for the parade. The boat parade was a fun “sail-a-bration” that included a lesson about staying true to yourself, being sincere, and most importantly, being a great peer!

The Seashell Safe Harbor

Friendship

“Let’s explore the shore and more, Let’s go on a Friendship Trip.” Happy
the Sailboat shares with Pelican Hugh, Starfish Sue, and Dolphin Rue
that Captain Drew is taking him on a Friendship Trip. The nautical
characters are curious about the excursion that will explore feelings
such as happy, sad, worried, angry, excited…..The guests onboard will
write messages in a bottle, hunt for seashells such as a conch shell and
then put it up to your ear to “listen” for good advice.
On the way home, Lighthouse Lou’s shining light reminds Captain Drew to
ask the guests onboard to look up at the stars.”The stars are like
friends. Sometimes you see them, sometimes you do not. You can always
share your thoughts. Sometimes just talking about something is all you
need to do to feel better. “Message in a bottle, what will you write?
Listen to a conch shell, what will you hear? Talk to the stars, what
will you say?” Join The Seashell Safe Harbor friends on the Friendship
Trip and fill your treasure chest with cheer! Buoy Up!
